In this novel study we consider triggered Ventricular Fibrillation episodes in rats and study the 10 selected HRV features between three monitoring stages Before, During and After. The signals were processed and then analysed using the HRVAS tool. An SPSS regression test narrowed the 103 exctracte features to 10 statistically significant. The features were then compared in each monitoring stage, Before the induction of ischemia, which represent the normal values for the studied group, the During stage where the episode occurs and After its termination. Considering the pattern similarities between Ventricular Fibrillation and Ventricullar Tachycardia, the latter was also tested using the analysis options and methods in order to compare how the HRV features are affected by episodes. Lastly, a group of 10 rats waw monitored frequently during the first day after the VF episodes, and the results are included in order to detect any HRV feature variations.en_US
