dc.description.abstract | The use of hydrogen as an alternative fuel is gaining more and more acceptance as the environmental impact of hydrocarbons becomes more evident. With rising concern about carbon dioxide emissions and global warming, increasing interest in fuel cells and progress in hydrogen storage technologies, the use of hydrogen as an energy carrier is likely to increase. This study focuses on the environmental aspects of the whole hydrogen life cycle (production, storage, distribution, transportation and utilization) in order to investigate the overall effects of a global hydrogen economy on the environment. | en_US |
