| dc.description.abstract | Ο Ανέστης, ο Βαγγέλης, ο Δημήτρης κι η Κατερίνα έχουν φτιάξει ένα μουσικό συγκρότημα που το ονομάζουν Byzantine Rebels. Ο Ανέστης γοητεύεται από την προσωπικότητα ενός πρωτοψάλτη του 18ου αι., του Πέτρου Πελοποννήσιου. Ένας μουσικός παραγωγός, ο Νικηφόρος, με Κωνσταντινουπολίτικη καταγωγή, συνεργάζεται με μια αμερικανική εταιρεία και τους προτείνει να συμμετέχουν σε ένα μουσικό πρότζεκτ με άλλους μουσικούς από τα Βαλκάνια κι απ’ την Κωνσταντινούπολη. Αναπτύσσεται μάλιστα μια ερωτική περιπέτεια μεταξύ του Νικηφόρου και της Κατερίνας, η οποία είχε ήδη μια χαλαρή σχέση με τον Ανέστη. Ο Ανέστης και η Κατερίνα πάντως φαίνονται αποφασισμένοι να το τολμήσουν, ο Βαγγέλης παρουσιάζεται αρνητικός, και ο Δημήτρης δεν εκφράζεται. Ο αιφνίδιος θάνατος του Δημήτρη παίζει αποφασιστικό ρόλο στην οριστική άρνηση του Βαγγέλη. Ο Ανέστης και η Κατερίνα ακολουθούν τον Νικηφόρο στην Αμερική. Το πρότζεκτ γνωρίζει επιτυχία. Αλλά πριν από την τελική συναυλία, ο Ανέστης αιφνιδίως αποχωρεί, θεωρώντας ότι ολοκλήρωσε αυτό που έπρεπε να κάνει κι ό,τι γινόταν από δω και πέρα θα αποσκοπούσε μόνο στην εμπορική εκμετάλλευση, επιστρέφει και ξανασμίγει με τον Βαγγέλη για να φτιάξουν από την αρχή τους Byzantine Rebels

Anestis, Vangelis, Dimitris and Katerina have formed a band called Byzantine Rebels. Anestis is fascinated by the personality of an 18th century cantor, Petros Peloponnesios. A music producer, Nikiforos, of Constantinople origin, collaborates with an American company and suggests that they participate in a project with other musicians from the Balkans and Istanbul. An erotic adventure is even developing between Nikiforos and Katerina who already had a loose relationship with Anestis. Anestis and Katerina, however, seem determined to dare it, Vangelis is negative, and Dimitris does not express himself. Dimitris' sudden death plays a decisive role in Vangelis' final denial. Anestis and Katerina follow Nikiforos to America. The project is a success. But before the final concert, Anestis suddenly leaves, thinking that he has completed what he had to do and everything that happened from now on would only be aimed at commercial exploitation, he returns and reunites with Vangelis to rebuild the Byzantine Rebels.

A romantic adventure develops between Nikiforos and Katerina, who already had a casual relationship with Anestis. Anestis and Katerina, however, seem determined to dare, Vangelis appears negative, and Dimitris does not express himself. The sudden death of Dimitris plays a decisive role in Vangelis' final refusal. Anestis and Katerina follow Nikiforos to America. The project is a success. But before the final concert, Anestis suddenly leaves, thinking that he has done what he had to do and everything from here on out would only be for commercial exploitation, he returns and rejoins Vangelis to rebuild Byzantine Rebels | en_US |
