| dc.description | The purpose of this project is to study how the issues of national identity-otherness are represented at the short story Nτιάλιθ’ ιμ Χριστάκη (Dialith im Christaki) and at the novels Να ακούω καλά τ’όνομα σου (Na akouo kala t’onoma sou) (Let me hear your name well) and Tους τα λέει ο θεός-(tous ta leei o theos) (God is telling them) by the writer Sotiris Dimitriou.
During the latest decades the western world has been called to deal with the biggest refugee crisis that the humanity has ever met in its history up till now. The migration and refugee flows demand our introspection as far as issues like identities and multicultural societies are concerned.
Sotiris Dimitriou sets the identity issue as a problem that demands a different attitude and perception. Being himself free of prior obsessions and prejudices he confronts us with the migration problem and the deep feelings of the homeless and stateless human beings of this world.
We enlist scientific approaches that emphasize our theme through social and cultural concepts. The text reading was realized through the Method of Qualitative Context Analysis and thematic categories related to the theory of building individual and collective identities were set.
Moreover, narrative and comparative literature was used as well as stereotypeology. We have examined the writer’s narrative techniques, we have commented on the way both he and his narrators focus upon as well as on the ideological points of view they convey. Major gravity was given to the language the writer uses, meaning the Epirus dialect, featuring it as the dominant element of the identity-otherness issue of his work.
We highlighted the multiplicity, the fluency of the characters, the attitudes, the prejudices and the racism towards any kind of diversity. We revealed the way the writer deconstructs the ideological enclosures and barriers with the hope that literature can contribute in creating a better and fairer world. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Επιδίωξη της εργασίας είναι η μελέτη των αναπαραστάσεων της εθνικής ταυτότητας-ετερότητας, όπως παρουσιάζονται στο διήγημα Ντιάλιθ΄ ιμ Χριστάκη, στα μυθιστορήματα Να ακούω καλά τ’ όνομα σου και Τους τα λέει ο Θεός, του συγγραφέα Σωτήρη Δημητρίου.
Τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες ο Δυτικός κόσμος καλείται να διαχειριστεί τη μεγαλύτερη, ίσως, προσφυγική κρίση, που γνώρισε η ιστορία της ανθρωπότητας. Οι μεταναστευτικές-προσφυγικές ροές απαιτούν τον προβληματισμό μας γύρω από τα θέματα των ταυτοτήτων και των πολυπολιτισμικών κοινωνιών.
Ο Σωτήρης Δημητρίου θέτει το ζήτημα των ταυτοτήτων ως πρόβλημα που απαιτεί μια άλλη στάση και αντίληψη. Απαλλαγμένος από ιδεοληψίες και προκαταλήψεις, μας φέρνει αντιμέτωπους με το πρόβλημα της μετανάστευσης και τα βαθιά αισθήματα των ανέστιων και απάτριδων αυτού του κόσμου.
Επιστρατεύονται επιστημονικές προσεγγίσεις, που αναδεικνύουν μέσα από κοινωνικές και πολιτισμικές έννοιες το θέμα μας. Η ανάγνωση των κειμένων έγινε με τη Μέθοδο Ποιοτικής Ανάλυσης Περιεχομένου και ορίστηκαν θεματικές κατηγορίες που σχετίζονται με τη θεωρία συγκρότησης των ατομικών και συλλογικών ταυτοτήτων.
Επιπλέον έγινε χρήση της αφηγηματολογίας και συγκριτικής γραμματολογίας και στερεοτυπολογίας. Εξετάσαμε τις αφηγηματικές τεχνικές του συγγραφέα, σχολιάσαμε το είδος της εστίασης του/των αφηγητών και τις ιδεολογικές οπτικές που μεταφέρουν. Μεγάλη βαρύτητα δόθηκε στη γλώσσα του συγγραφέα, που αφορά την ηπειρώτικη διάλεκτο αναδεικνύοντας την ως κυρίαρχο στοιχείο της ταυτότητας-ετερότητας του έργου του.
Αναδείξαμε την πολλαπλότητα, τη ρευστότητα των χαρακτήρων, τις στάσεις, τις προκαταλήψεις και τον ρατσισμό στην κάθε είδους διαφορετικότητα. Φανερώσαμε τον τρόπο του συγγραφέα στην αποδόμηση των ιδεολογικών στεγανών και περιχαρακώσεων, με την ελπίδα ότι η λογοτεχνία μπορεί να συμβάλλει στη δημιουργία ενός δικαιότερου, καλύτερου κόσμου. | en_US |
