| dc.description | To teach literature and poetry, written by the great Greek Nobel laureate, Odysseus Elytis, to elementary school children, would be one of the most, if not utopian, at least over-optimistic endeavors. However, the recent scientific researches and medical discoveries as well as the modern psychology and pedagogy have suggested that, when children are given the right stimuli and their senses –that are at their pick during this period- are activated, it is possible for them to conquer the rhetoric speech; to analyze it, to compose it and through this process to conquer critical thinking.
The purpose of the present study is, through experiential learning and creative writing, to open up the intellectual horizons of young children and to help them to acquaint the poetic thinking and writing, with Elytis’s texts assistance.
The results of this research, conducted among 17 children of the third grade of elementary school, have shown that, with the help of the visual arts, the initiation into the literature and in every higher spiritual function, can be achieved naturally and effortlessly. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Το να διδάξει κανείς λογοτεχνία και μάλιστα ποίηση, γραμμένη από τον μεγάλο Έλληνα Νομπελίστα ποιητή, Οδυσσέα Ελύτη, σε παιδιά των πρώτων τάξεων του δημοτικού σχολείου, θα έλεγε κανείς ότι είναι ένα, αν όχι ουτοπικό, τουλάχιστον υπεραισιόδοξο εγχείρημα. Όμως, οι πρόσφατες επιστημονικές έρευνες και ανακαλύψεις της ιατρικής καθώς και οι θέσεις της σύγχρονης ψυχολογίας και παιδαγωγικής θεωρούν ότι, αν δοθούν τα κατάλληλα ερεθίσματα και αν ενεργοποιηθούν οι αισθήσεις, που βρίσκονται την περίοδο αυτή στον κολοφώνα τους, είναι δυνατόν τα παιδιά να κατακτήσουν τόσο τον προφορικό όσο και τον γραπτό ποιητικό λόγο, να τον αναλύσουν, να τον συνθέσουν και μέσα από αυτή την ανάλυση και σύνθεση να κατακτήσουν στη συνέχεια την κριτική σκέψη.
Η παρούσα εργασία στόχο έχει, μέσα από τη βιωματική μάθηση και τη δημιουργική γραφή, με τη βοήθεια των εικαστικών, να ανοίξει τους πνευματικούς ορίζοντες των μικρών παιδιών και να τα βοηθήσει να εντρυφήσουν στη λογοτεχνική σκέψη και γραφή του Ελύτη.
Τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας, που διεξήχθη μεταξύ 17 παιδιών της τρίτης τάξης του δημοτικού σχολείου, περίτρανα απέδειξαν ότι, με τη βοήθεια των εικαστικών τεχνών, η μύηση στη λογοτεχνία αλλά και κάθε ανώτερη πνευματική λειτουργία είναι δυνατόν να κατακτηθεί με τρόπο φυσικό και αβίαστο. | en_US |
