| dc.description.abstract | Στην παρούσα εργασία μελετάται η αναπαράσταση του Συνδρόμου Down στον κινηματογράφο. Οι φιλμικές παραγωγές που επιλέχθηκαν είναιπροϊόντατηςευρωπαϊκήςβιομηχανίαςκινηματογράφουμε παγκόσμια απήχηση και είναι οι μεγάλου μήκους ταινίες “Η όγδοη ημέρα” (1996) του Jaco Van Dormael και “Εμείς οι δύο” (2009) των Antonio Naharro και Álvaro Pastor. Η ανάγκη για την ερμηνεία των φιλμικών αναπαραστάσεων εστιάζει στη μελέτη των εσωτερικών μηχανισμών (όπως γλώσσα, εικόνα, ήχος) που χρησιμοποιούνται με θεματική την αναπηρία και ειδικότερατοΣύνδρομο Down. Η αναπαράσταση ορισμένης ιδεολογίας υπό το σκηνοθετικό πρίσμα των ευρωπαϊκών παραγωγών αποκτά ενδιαφέρον, καθώς δύνανται να επηρεάσουν τους αποδέκτες με τα μέσα και τις τεχνικέςαφήγησηςπουυιοθετούν.Στόχοςείναιηδιερεύνησηστηνκοινωνικοπολιτισμικήθεώρησητης αναπηρίας, η σύνδεσή της με την ισχύουσα πραγματικότητα και ο εντοπισμός μηχανισμών για την προώθηση της μέσω των κινηματογραφικών παραγωγών. Η σημειωτική ανάλυση σε επίπεδο εικόνας, γλώσσας και ήχου διαφωτίζει τις διασυνδέσεις στο περιεχόμενο των πολυτροπικών αναπαραστάσεων για τους παράγοντες που επηρεάζουν τις αντιλήψεις στο ζήτημα της αναπηρίας.The following research deals with Down Syndrome representation in film industry. The chosen film productions are long length movies of the european film industrywithwidespreadimpactandtheyare “The eighth day” (1996) of Jaco Van Dormael and “Me too” (2009) of AntonioNaharroandÁlvaro Pastor. The necessity for the interpretation of the filmic representations focuses on the research of the interior mechanisms (such as language, picture, sound) that are used in the field of disability, specifically in Down Syndrome. The representation of certain kind of ideology through the directors’ perspective in european filmic productions becomes interesting, because they are capable of influencing the audience through the narrative means and techniques they choose to use. The prime intention of this thesis is the probe of sociocultural view of disability, itsconnectionwiththestanding reality and the mechanisms’ detection in distributing through filmic productions. Semiotic analysis is used in the frame, language and sound compartments of the movies and itillustratestheconnectionin the context of multimodal representations with the factors which impact on the perspectives in disability | en_US |
