| dc.description.abstract | Αν και οι ψευδείς ειδήσεις δεν είναι νέο φαινόμενο, πρόσφατα επιδεινώθηκαν με την έλευση της ψηφιακής εποχής, καθιστώντας το ένα από τα πιο έντονα αμφισβητούμενα ζητήματα στην πολιτική επικοινωνία και τον δημοσιογραφικό διάλογο σε όλο τον κόσμο. Μετά την ψηφοφορία για το Brexit και την εκλογή του νέου προέδρου των ΗΠΑ το 2016, οι οποίες θεωρήθηκε ότι επηρεάστηκαν από παραπλανητικές πληροφορίες που κυκλοφόρησαν στο διαδίκτυο κατά τη διάρκεια των προεκλογικών περιόδων, η ανησυχία για το θέμα έχει αυξηθεί σημαντικά.
